Lana's mother was one of the Knights of the Heavens. A group of of seekers who fought for peace in the Upper World during an era riddled with conflict. Her mother lost her life in the climatic battle Second Great War, leaving Lana orphaned. After her mother's death, she was enrolled in the Seekers of the Heavens' School of the Six-Point Rhythm. In the beginning her training was marked with frustration and failure. However, with time she began to blossom, eventually becoming the top rank Second Class seeker, after defeating Aestiva Aiya in the final match of the One-on-One Combat Examinations. This victory brought her much attention and praise from her superiors. A year later she would fight Aiya for a second time, with the battle ending in a dramatic stalemate. It was shortly after this that she was put on special assignment by the Knight of the Moon.
